Thanks for stopping by! My name is Laura. I live in Toronto. I'm a late-30s elder millennial who loves books- reading books, reading about books, browsing books, talking books, smelling books..... !

As a privileged white lady, I am trying to learn more about the lived experiences of other women through stories, and to celebrate diverse female voices. I hope this blog builds a community of diverse readers who love to explore, celebrate, and amplify women's voices in literature.

Some other things about me that may come up from time to time: I am obsessed with my dog, Loulou (and all dogs); I have too many houseplants; I have anxiety (mostly I have anxiety about climate change and conservative politics!); I travel; I camp; and I love sleeping. 

If you're particularly observant, you'll note the small amount of pasta sauce on my face in the photo above...this is what happens when you inhale lunch in a canoe on a lake....)
